The will of God is for us that: „The eyes of your understanding being enlightened;
that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory
of his inheritance in the saints,“ (Ephesians 1,18) …
We as humans have physical eyes – with which we often observe and behold realities happening around us… But do you also know that you have the eyes of the Spirit? When you have accepted Jesus Christ as the Lord of your life, thus submitting your life unto Him and receiving his Holy Spirit, you have received enlightenment into your life, which Jesus clearly describes: 22 „The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy,[a] your whole body will be full
of light. 23 But if your eyes are unhealthy,[b] your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!
(Matthew 6, 22-23) … Jesus was clearly talking about the eyesight being either the light or the darkness of our body… We often see realities as unbelievers do, because we have not learnt to see with the eyes of the Spirit… Jesus tells us that such eyes are the light of our body, when our eyes are spiritually healthy… Also, these eyes are the light even unto our walk with God, because when walking with the Spirit by actually seeing in the Spirit, we will not ever be misled!
Is it not so amazing? Jesus Himself was a being walking with the Spirit and by the power of the Spirit and by the faith and constant reliance on His heavenly Father…
Another scriptural mention tells us how to actually see and thus walk through life: For we walk by faith, not by sight. (2. Corinthians 5,7) … This mention is telling us that we ARE to see in faith, not just how things appear to be in the natural… Practically put, this means that when we face anything or anything arises during the day – any kind of situation or problem – we first do not panic, but we look unto the Lord God (just as Jesus did) in faith, searching in the prayers and in the spiritual sight what is the reality of heaven for this situation or what the Spirit of God has to say regarding what’s going on and what His word teaches us about this. It’s a thing for many of us yet to learn, but when your spiritual eyes are enlightened, you will never be disappointed or confused
or let astray, instead: with the spiritual eyes opened, you may walk constantly in the light of the Spirit of God on the path that will lead you into life everlasting…
