Brothers and sisters,
Many things in this world pull us away from God and cause us to sin again and again. The Bible says that „Children of God do not practice sinning.“(1John 3:9). So, if your mobile phone causes you to sin—even if it hurts—you need to cut it off. If your boyfriend or girlfriend wants to have sex with you, you need to cut it off. If your best friend leads you to sin, you need to cut it off. And if your job or business gives you whatever you need but causes you to steal someone’s money or prevents you from working honestly, YOU NEED TO CUT IT OFF. It is hurtful to cut out everything that gives us pleasure or satisfaction, but it is better for you to lose them than for you to be thrown into hell.

Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers. But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, BEARING FRUIT EACH SEASON. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do. BUT NOT THE WICKED!
